The ‘African Property Awards for Sustainable Residential and Commercial Development for Rwanda 2023-2024’ has honored a collaborative team for their work on the Vision City Phase 2 project. This carbon-neutral Master Plan covers a 42-hectare area, incorporating AI-ML-data-driven design and computer modeling to develop solar-powered residential units and mixed-use spaces. Key collaborations included Datumzero Design Office led by PI Guillermo Garita (spanning New York City, San Jose/CR, and Kigali), CND LCC Thomas Spiegelhalter and Associates (Miami-Berlin), CIEM (Alan Ocampo Guth) based in San Jose, Costa Rica, BA Ingeniería, and PPAR (Jose Vargas Hidalgo & Dana Víquez Azofeifa). The team is now preparing for future projects and seeking approval for the Solar Feed-In-Tariffs, marking a new chapter in sustainable space creation.
